Feeding Program

Our Intensive In-Clinic Feeding Program is a structured, evidence-based approach designed to help children over the age of 2 overcome feeding challenges. Whether your child struggles with food selectivity, food refusal, or other feeding difficulties, this program uses Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote successful eating habits. The program is run exclusively by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is designed to meet the specific needs of your child while involving you, the parent, as an essential part of the process. Our focus is on creating positive experiences around food and gradually expanding your child’s repertoire of accepted foods through evidence-based behavioral techniques.

Our program is split into 6 stages, please see a brief overview of each stage listed below:

Intake: Includes an intake meeting to discuss current challenges and parent goals, assessment and pairing sessions to build rapport with your child.

Implementation: The BCBA will begin implementing the first target food. When the food is mastered with the BCBA, in-clinic parent training will occur and the BCBA will begin introducing the next new food.

Parent Support: After the child has mastered a pre-determined set of foods, in-clinic sessions will end and the BCBA will support families with mealtimes through video-recording and meetings.

Maintenance: The BCBA will begin fading out and meetings will become less frequent.

Follow Up: Periodic check-in meetings will begin to ensure progress has been maintained over time and no new challenges arise.

Discontinuation: You made it! Your child’s goals have been met and the child is eating a variety of foods with little to no challenging behaviors.

Parent Support

Parent involvement is crucial to the success of the program. Our goal is for your child to eat foods that your family typically eats in the natural environment- at home with you!

Session Schedule

Families will choose between 2-5 times weekly (one session per week will be parent training)

  • Mon: 9am-5pm

  • Tues-Fri: 9am-3pm

  • Sessions will occur on the same day and time weekly

Fee Breakdown

The fee breakdown is an estimate based on the planned number of sessions and services. However, this may change due to factors such as cancellations, holidays, or if your child requires additional support that goes beyond the initial plan

  • Approximate intake cost: $1300

  • Approximate monthly cost: $2340-$3960

Length of Program

The speed at which your child moves through each phase depends on several factors, including the number of foods to be mastered, the frequency of weekly sessions, consistency of parent involvement and your child’s response to the treatment plan.

We will regularly review your child’s progress and adjust the approach as needed to best support their development.
